The problem with the tsa is that some of those on the hill simply looked at it as another jobs program, so that they could get votes from yet more government workers’ union members. Since then we’ve been inundated with stories of tsa agents overstepping their authority, being lazy, and stealing.

Not to mention incompetence, arrogance, and being generally tin tyrants. The TSA is not making us safer; it is institutionalized harassment and governmental abuse. It is “security theater.”

“What? Obama isn’t smart enough to change it?”Which would then give partisan commentators an opening to claim Obama doesn’t care about your safety.

I wonder how much longer this removing your shoes, sandals, or slippers idiocy before you board is going to last?

^Well, it was the “small government” Bush administration that created 33 new agencies in creating “Homeland Security”. Just flew yesterday, and though some TSA folks are okay, the system is totally stupid, ineffective, and expensive. Real security? Talk to El Al, and Mossad, they know how to do it, and as they state, if any “bad guys” even get into the terminal, you’re already TOO LATE!

Also, “sniffer” machines were used for a while, and worked, the new scanners are pointless, and the pat downs, like my wife got because she won’t go through the machines after many medically necessary exposures, put up with an idiotic “pat down” that was done in view of hundreds of other passengers, pure stupid!
