Are the Apparatus and the Consortium synonymous? Or are there two conspiratorial groups involved here? Hy Pressure must be feeling some pressure himself. The Apparatus are (is?) annoyed at the delays for which they hold him accountable. I expect to see nasty action very soon….
If Sail’s backers and The Apparatus are different groups with different agendas, we may be headed for a conflict between them. Interesting complication!
SInce the Speed Channel no longer exists, it’s going to be difficult finding it in the channel guide. As a side note, in a few days the Fox Soccer channel will be changing to FXX.
While Mike and Joe are trying to keep up the “suspense” of who or what Mysta really is, for me, it is reaching the point of an infinite tease. We are also looking at the possible to probable demise of Doctor Zy Ghote, quite possibly the only man who really does know who or what she is, taking that information with him to the grave, thus enabling Mike and Joe to never have to tell us who or what she is!.It is clear Mysta will never tell us – with what has been shown so far, it is fairly clear that she doesn’t know who or what she is!.Moving on: Having taken a many decades vacation from Dick Tracy, just who and/or what is the Apparatus?.And, is it just me, or is this quite a bit like the last Paramount Batman film, where they collected Adam West’s most popular villains, placing them around a conference table…
Folks seemed a bit hard on Llewellenbruce and the inquiry about Speed Channel. Having worked for the cable company as a call center customer care rep, I can comfortably say that Fox operates a lot like Tracy’s “Apparatus”! They operate behind the scenes, well below radar, and make their changes often without the cable company knowing what they have done – especially to competing cable channels!.My favorite horror story was back in 2000, when I was working the call center in Colorado Springs, where we were briefed to expect furor over Fox having bought up rights to Padres’ games in San Diego and blacking them out over the local TV stations (over cable)..What we weren’t briefed on – likely, because no one knew, was that Colorado Rockies games had also been bought up by Fox and that their games were being blacked out all over Colorado!.All of this, of course, was in an effort to boot other cable channels off the air, making room for even more Fox cable channels..I see that nothing much has changed in the last dozen years or so…
