Although now he can barely speak, he will always be “The Greatest”

This is what made Ali the great fighter he was.Not the mouthing, the showing off, the side show.It is the will of the fighter. All great fighters have it.This is why I will always admire Ali as a fighter. I admire and respect the will of those who fight. What ever it is they are fighting for.

Can’t we come up with inspirational messages from people who aren’t famous for beating the daylights out of other people?

@softwellyes, the level of violence here is not attractive, getting close to giving up on this strip, which originally i found so delightful

There is no question in my mind that Ali is the greatest fighter of the modern era. I loved Joe Louis, Sugar Ray Robinson, and one or two other boxers. But there was never one like Muhammad Ali. In the ring or in front of the cameras, he was a genius.

As usual most miss the point. If you want happy nappy bambi stuff go to another strip. This strip is about the Zen of Life.Zen is the act of reaching Enlightenment. I stated it yesterday this way. You cannot look at only one side of life. That is not the way to Enlightenment. You have to look at ALL sides. Good, Bad, Violent, Non-violent, love, hate, life, death. Once you learn to do that and accept things for what they are you have taken the first step. Caseyman, softwell, Carmen Y….you miss the point of Zen.

I understand that Gavin has found a niche in the muscles of athletes. I just happen to be among the women who prefer more natural bodies (although I like nudity or near nudity as well)

Those who are focusing on Ali the Fighter are missing the point of this strip. Ali the Man was/is a philosopher and a great philanthropist. Look beyond the surface of things and see the depths beneath…

Personally I am not a boxing fan, am a football fan, and I am a fan of this strip. I am considering looking at videos of Ali in his prime, just to see the artistry involved. I agree that Ali was much more than a boxer, he was, and is a champion in and out of the ring.
