In the 80s, there was a house in my neighborhood that had a satellite dish so large that it took up his entire side yard. And of course he had it on the side that was next to the street. And it was a nice neighborhood (the houses now sell for over $600K). I bet they wished they had an HOA then (not all HOAs are unreasonable. It just depends on what you put in the by-laws.)
