Good morning, Vagabonds. Yesterday, my friend brought me a pile of Daily News to read. In one of them I read that getting at least 6 hours sleep can ward off Alzheimers. So, instead of waking up or staying up in the middle of the night to read the comics, I went to sleep before Midnight and woke up about an hour ago to take my thyroid pill (I can’t eat or drink for an hour after that)and read my email.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Wow, Autumn is REALLY settling in………..it got down to 51 during the night, and only 73 yesterday! We actually had to close the windows at night. Pretty soon those trees will start to turn.

    Almost there, Slim!!!!!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Happy almost birthday, Slim. (Or to put it as the March Hare and the Dormouse did: “A very merry unbirthday.”)

Lots of rain around here. I didn’t go to church yesterday because it rained hard from 2AM until after 10AM. The last time it rained that much Boulder Hwy turned into a river. I made the mistake of attempting to drive in such a river once. Won’t EVER do it again. And, of course the humidity level is back into the high 60’s. All the rain makes it difficult to open up the windows at night, too. One in front and the patio door in back are the only protected ones. This is a typical hot area stucco house, no eaves at all to protect the windows.

Went to my daughter’s house yesterday to pick up all the food people had brought to our party. Instead of gifts we had asked that they bring a non perishable item to give to the food pantry. We must have 12 bags full. Now I have to get it to them.
