Public speaking is nothing. Public singing is also nothing, done both and lived through it and it can even be sort of fun. The things I fear are a whole lot worse than these.

I’m in the same boat as Earl, except I can’t grow a mustache nearly as impressive as his. :-(

Well, three outta three so far, much more expected, after all; I don’t want the obit to read “he lived a calm, un-adventureous life” Speaking of which, I’m sickentired of reading classmates obits telling of how “he served in WWII .”Get over it widows… he was only 11 years old then !!Jeeeez !

This is absolutely hilarious! It’s true that Americans say Public Speaking is the greatest fear whether it is or not, but public speaking on an airplane would cause a lot of people to sweat. In Japan, there’s a proverb that the greatest fears are earthquakes, thunder, fire and and fathers.

Also his biggest fear is hearing the words “Are you going to do the housework, Earl?”

My hubby was never afraid of public speaking. He gave his first speech in Cub Scouts and won several speaking contests in Toastmasters. He even taught a class called “Communicate with Understanding” to other adults.

I found out today that a close friend lost her father. I assure you, he did NOT wish to grow any older after 11 grueling months of being a guniea pig thanks to a rare form of cancer.

I’m an ‘organ donor’ … I hope that some kid finds my 78 year old (hopefully older) valves, taps, springs, joints and spigots will keep him/her going until they can find a newer part in the catalog.
