Left prisoner: ANYWAY...LONG STORY SHORT, APPARENTLY THE "DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL" POLICY ISN'T ABOUT BOOKKEEPING
Book title reads: HABEAS CORPUS FOR DUMMIES
I was married to an accountant for many years and I always joked that there were two types – the rich and successful ones, and the poor but honest ones. Guess which category we were in ?
@masterskrain; “IF I end up having to pay it, I am seriously considering going to the district office in Atlanta with $318 in pennies, and demanding that it be counted IN FRONT of me, so I can get a receipt”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~And they’ll respond in kind by having you arrested for sniding, failing to align with intent to garintigate and the fine and attorney fees will far outstrip your 318 bucks. With them bastids, there’s no winning.. Well, there was ONE case I DID win over them, but the story’s too long for here and I’d be inviting retribution about ‘govermental arrogance’ in a closed room. Safe to say, though; I still keep their letter of apology framed and on my ’wall of shame!" Cheers and good luck !
“….and did he every return? No, he never returned, and his fate is still unlearned(Poor ol’ masterskrain)He will live forever with the IRSers. He’s the maaannn who never returned.”Thank you and apologies, Kingston Trio.
The IRS got me too over a paper route…I was told not to file the “miniscule” amount…..several years later they come back at me for “unclaimed income” so I had to pay the buggars !

When it comes to taxes, nothing is politically incorrect.

Just a minor issue misunderstanding then, eh.

@masterskrain: If you can’t get that issue resolved, contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate’s office. (Yes, there IS such a thing!)
