Can this summer get any weirder:- A 29 year-old hacker is living in a Moscow airport with America’s classified secrets.- Popular candidate for New York mayor can’t control his urge to show off his hardware on the internet.- A wannabe cop is found not guilty after pursuing and killing an innocent teenager in Florida.- San Diego mayor Bob Filner apologizes to seven or so staff women of sexual harassment, his family, and the electorate but claims he is innocent..Well, yes it can get weirder – after blocking all attempts by Obama to get something done, the Republicans now plan to bring down the government and possibly the country with another debt ceiling circus. And this is for spending they approved.
A society so easily distracted by the hype and BS over Weiner, or Geraldo, or even Snowden, to keep them from asking questions about real problems, or REAL solutions, IS a problem.

A cartoon requiring footnotes is probably not based on a good idea.
