Way to go, Danziger. You feel all big and mighty now that you’ve picked on a child not yet ever 24 hours old? Is it the child’s fault for being born where it’s born? A country is how it is because of how it’s RUN! North Korea, Iran, Cuba, Egypt, Etc. All of those countries are like they are because of it’s gov’t. How ’bout this…If you can… if you have the talent to draw and the fortunate ability to be published in a paper or website….use it to build up others and see how you can help people instead of being spiteful of others….much less to a baby….
Danziger may be basing this ‘toon on Rudyard Kipling’s poem “If…”
“If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too;If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,Or being hated, don’t give way to hating, And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim;If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same;If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build ’em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss;If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone,And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with Kings—nor lose the common touch,If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much;If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it, And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!"
So, Syrians: Man up, arm yourselves, and kill the bastard!(Assad)
With far less than “royal privilege”, I still was born into relative privilege, even though my folks went through bankruptcy, twice. I also saw many countries where folks didn’t have privilege, or enough to eat. A lot of it had to do with the fact in some of those places we were blowing up their homes, killing their “breadwinners”, and leaving their nations impoverished.
Conservatism shows some “S’s”: Spoiled, Selfish, Savage, and Stupid. Unbelievable arrogance as well.
Congratulations to Mitt Romney on his 22nd grandchild. Born to Josh & Jen Romney just yesterday. This baby will enjoy all the privilege and luxury that being born the child of American Royalty allows. He will want for nothing, living a life of excess and grandeur.America is no different than the UK, boys and girls. We have our own ultra, super, high, upper class. A class which none of us ever has any chance of joining. An upper class which looks down upon us. All they see is ignorant masses, barely deserving the crumbs and scraps which fall from their table. Please Lord, give this child a conscience, may it one day see the condition which many live in, and honestly work to make things better for us all.
In today’s world, I’d say that’s “Every Parent’s Prayer”, devoid of the desire to raise an intelligent compassionate soul that could strive for peace for all. I’d also like to thank Mr. Danziger for trying to focus attention upon those who need help from those of us who seek to amuse ourselves to death.

So we should feel guilty for being born where we were or appreciate it? I am not sure what Danziger is trying to point out.

Radish: Potentially, but his current duty is air-sea rescue, and his choppper is unarmed. It was his brother who just came off a combat assignment.

Is there a point to this? Or maybe we should whip ourselves as well before we are good enough?

Mr. Danziger. Tacky, cheap shot, but I’m glad you resisted the urge to join in on the burgh
