Just please, stop all the fuss and let the Dreamer generation" go ahead and granted citizenship. They are us in all ways except 1. They need to get citizen-shipped.

Prosecuting businesses (or individuals) who hire illegals would be a massive immigration reform. -But Republicans/Fox “news” viewers don’t want that.

Great comments from the Wascally Wabbit, the allegedly Braindead person, Uncle Joe, & Mr. Landers. It is amazing how much money the Republicans are willing to spend on “securing our borders”. Billions to hire guards whose pensions won’t be funded or worse, as in Detroit, after working for decades, pensions that are lost to legislative incompetence/false optimism. Additionally, more state monies, millions or billions? – are being lost in attempts to challenge abortion, gay rights, and Obama/Romney care.No money to repair bridges, but lots of money to build actual fences to divide countries and legal fences to divide neighbors.Where is the focus on our veterans whose paperwork is being delayed months. Where is the passion to repair the one in five bridges in the USA that need work? These questions could go on for awhile and never include “entitlements” that help the many people who are unemployed, underemployed, or forced to live on minimal pay due to outsourcing and Congress’s many failures to take action to improve our economy and end the uncivil, and disrespectful interactions between our leaders and our neighbors.Respectfully,C.

Sure. Why not? Why not give the illegals citizenship and complete this road to Idiocracy?

" On the immigration issue in particular, the republicans remember when the democrats deep sixed Bush’s immigration reform bill (ironically both Reid and Obama had a part in the poison pill amendments), a bill that could have passed even as Republicans were divided."I’m not sure how you claim that Obama is a weak enforcer when he has deported far more people than Bush, (30,000 a month vs. 20,000) and you’re dead wrong about Obama & Reid killing the bill. Both voted in favor. Reid worked to keep the bill alive, along with McCain, Kennedy & Graham. The opposition was led by Republicans DeMint, Sessions & Vitter. The Democrats who joined them were almost all from rural, conservative leaning states.http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=110&session=1&vote=00235http://www.reuters.com/article/2007/06/29/us-usa-immigration-idUSN2742643820070629“But the president was unable to overcome fierce opposition from fellow Republicans who said it was an amnesty that rewarded illegal immigrants. A majority of Republicans in the House of Representatives also opposed the Senate bill.”“Only 33 Democrats, 12 Republicans and one independent voted to advance the bill, while 15 Democrats joined 37 Republicans and one independent to block it.”“Five of the six senators running for president voted in favor of the overhaul: Republican John McCain and Democrats Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Christopher Dodd and Joe Biden.”

‘Why don’t you braindead? You watch Fox all the time to make your absurd observations.’-Huh? Why don’t I … what?-Maybe you can identify some Republicans or Fox “news” viewers that have called for prosecution of those who hire illegals.-While you’re at it, identify a “job creator” or two.

“Reread your own post, braindead, and then name those Dems or Repubs, not viewers, that have called for prosecution of those hiring illegals.”-I cannot name any, including the Fox “news” viewers who frequent these boards, including yourself.-Democrats, I kind of understand their wanting to treat people well, even illegals, but I would expect some serious pushback from unions, since illegals lower overall wages.-But Republicans/Fox “news” viewers have expressed seriously anti-immigrant views, to put it mildly, but don’t want to do anything to lessen the influx of illegals.-And please don’t tell me how great the fence is going to be.

Then why do American companies hire illegal immigrants?

One might see it that way, however, as I look over the past two decades, it all seems to be pretty homogeneously offal/awful no matter who is POTUS. I used to believe in the legislature, that at least their intentions were good, but now, I find them self serving, cannibalistic, uncivil and disrespectful.Be well PAJ.Sincerely,C.
