I note that Ken is very objective….. thinks outside the self….none of that subjective “me me me” stuff.

So, with his keen analytical powers, he has determined that he is worth thinking about….and he should know.

You’re very welcome, X…. Nice to see you.

I’m just doing a bit of straightening up…. I’ve had a busy week and didn’t check every corner of the Tiki as often as I usually do.

I just found the booth where Ken’s been sitting when he comes in….sigh……

At least Ken does it in his own kitchen, and not all over Ballard Street……….so far.

The greatest thing Ken has done today is inspire y’all. ( It doesn’t take much) I especially love the inspirations of Superfrog, Number Six and Dogsniff.

I notice that Ken is sitting beside his window of opportunity. When Martha catches him, she’ll throw him through it.

Cuddles (and even Fitzroy at times) would leave their handiwork (nibbling on the wood) anytime they felt they were getting no attention.

Perhaps Ken is just leaving a not so subtle message to Martha that he needs more personal attention/affection ;-D

Ken’s thoughts should cluster around hiring a wardrobe consultant. I’m off to the Tiki, Did all my housework and deserve a daquiri and cookies.

What started out as a peaceful moment of contemplative reflection; a moment shared with nature as the migratory tiger and monarch butterflies made their way past his window, to cooler temperatures, somehow digressed into a too familiar meditation. Shirley had suggested, he think about it. Hers was prayerful discernment, his wasn’t. It’s true, his mind turned inward, his focus was on the self, his attention captured by the drumming of his own marching feet, but he knows it’s not the same. Not the open vistas of a limitless horizon. Not the call to a higher purpose. Not the answer a seeker would recognize. This is more like asking, who’s the leader of the band; who has the biggest Johnson on the block; who likes chocolate pie and knows where to get it; who has three dozen, grade 63, number eight self tapping, half inch, counter sunk Philip’s head, all stainless sheet metal screws; who’s your daddy; who’s Luke Skywalker’s real father; who’s a volunteer park ranger; who invented the Beatles; who’s the task master of the house; who’s Shirley’s sugar? Yes Ken we know, now try telling someone else’s dog what to do.

I like both too, and it looks like I missed last call (until the change – and I “ain’t got no time for dat”) so I’ll step up to the kitchen to make some tea.

I just noticed something under Ken’s chair. It’s either a pen cap or some pencil shavings (lets hope he’s writing in something that will wash off) as most kitchen paint is pretty durable. Good night all!

I think I’ll have a small Glenfiddich, pretty please, Fenton….and then I’ll go home to bed.

    Anybody here for a nightcap?

Small crowd for a Saturday night….

NO. I’m NOT saying that because the Martins are here….I don’t make jokes about people just cos they’re three foot ten.

If I don’t say it about the little monkeys, why would I say it about he Martins?

Yeah, yeah…. dog humor.I’m sure it DID make Sid laugh….he’s a gorilla!

As someone just 5’ tall myself, I’m sensitive to others, so I’ll say nothing about the Martins. I was busy looking at all the available pieces in the Intarsia that I mentioned over at DS. I know that he would like the Lion motif of this one

Gosh…. I have a client soon and I realised the salon is looking a bit dusty and disordered.

NEVER unsanitary…. I take sanitation and board regulations very seriously….and the Sheriff is a frequent client besides…..

He takes regulations very seriously, too…. well, most of the time….when he isn’t forgetting himself and flinging my expensive XTI gold glitter facial mud…..

Yes, Monkey, you did buy me some more….it’s OK….It’s just that I’ve been a little behind in my tidying…. and I just found a few more spatters….

I’ve been running around for over a week…..

Visiting the Far Western Ballard County Fair, which takes place in California, several times a week….

Plus, that drive, in Elvis, all the way out East to bring a picnic to Bev and Stel…

Running my salon AND working at the Tiki, and at the Wednesday Farmer’s Market, baking pies, growing tomatoes, overseeing my pie shop AND my tomato factory….Is it any wonder the corners of the salon get a bit dusty?

That reminds me….Stel…. do you need fresh polish?

And Bev…. are your nails still OK?When you get home we have to redo.

Monkey…. you’re overdue too…. no not for nail polish, silly…haircut and foot rub.
