It’s one thing for an old guy to wear his pants above his stomach, but his sword belt also?

@EVERYBODY.Thank you for your greetings and good wishes (and the visual gifts)……I feel just as old as I did at 15: achy, forgetful, world-weary and wondering just what happened to my get-up-and-go. It didn’t go, I never had it..Other than that….it’s GREAT!

Valerie cherishes her Swedish heritage. She choose Agnar son of Romfort Ekvall to be her husband, her protector and provider. Agnar being second generation takes his role as protector very seriously. Don’t let his blue suede shoes fool you. He is fleet of foot, a steady hand and keen of sight. He was disbarred from his elected position as sergeant of arms at the Garden Club. Bette and June were very upset with Valerie for posting those pictures of the Fourth of July picnic and the caption, run chicken run only made matters worse. Ted and Bob quit the bowling league and Stan left the Saturday afternoon gin rummy sessions. Agnar doesn’t care, he’s the boss and that’s the way he likes it.

    Monkey!

    Were you looking for this?

It was tied to a tree by the grill out back…. there were some empty beer bottles on the ground underneath it…and some dried-up banana peels…..

It might not be the right one…. and the one Stel and Bev are bringing is much nicer…

    But still…..

@Susan, I love that old bell although “and the one Stel and Bev are bringing is much nicer…” and today I received the package with my restrung wind chimes.

So nice to have them back now that any cheery thing helps. The lark has a lovely sound. I may tape it and add the file to my YouTube when we have a windy day. I’m sure Leaky will appreciate ;-D I also have a hand cast bell out on the patio eaves, but that’s a single note.

My French toast this morning would be far too sticky to raise in my hand (with ripe peach and yogurt on it) but I’ll raise a glass again tonight – Fenton, just a glass of gin and another of pure water with ice. I like to mix my own. Just make sure it has plenty of botanicals (juniper and citrus notes).

Good news Munky. XTI Import Export and Swapmeet just got a great deal on all the cowbells you’ll ever need (or want). Imported from Austria these are genuine cowbells from Stallhofen, a small town in the southeastern foothills of the Alps.Due to a recent Court Case we got these bells at a bargain price, which we will of course pass on to you (after a slight markup for tariffs, taxes and such).

Like Stel’s bell some may come with cows attached. Can you say Barbeque?

The surprising thing to me is that’s how he’s known; “Valerie’s husband.” No one seems to know his given name. They’re not even sure of his surname. They assume it’s the same as Valerie’s – Spitzensparken – but nowadays you never know.
