The only thing wrong with the Affordable Care Act is that it doesn’t go fare enough. When will idiot Americans learn that they have one of the most expensive and least successful health care (which really ought to be “care” in scare quotes) systems in the developed world.

How is it working – Yes people love to have others forced to pay for the services they got – Who would have thought.

But it won’t be sustainable. More and More people who are marginally employable now will find that they aren’t worth their salary when they cost healthcare on top of their pay.

This is a disaster and Notice that Obama slowed down the part that would have caused unemployment until after the 2014 election.

My one data point shows that my healthcare costs went up $100/month thanks to Obamacare. So if it is supposed to make health insurance more expensive, it’s working!

When Republican Governors and state legislatures delay and fight Obamacare, then premiums go up, these guys blame Obama? They should look in the mirror to see why premiums went up.The FL legislature turned down $51 Billion in Federal money for Medicaid. Now someone has to pay for that.

    1. Most of the ACA hadn’t begun to kick in before insurance companies raised rates to “hedge their bets” (remember THEY are “the house”, and can’t lose to begin with!).

    2. They should have had “single payer” as the core of the bill, not the Republican plan to hand more profit to insurance and corporate “medicine” circles. The thing they hate in the bill is that it says 80% of premiums must go to actual health care, and if exceeded, rebates must be given to the insured.

    3. Wake UP folks!! Almost any bill over 4 pages in length has NOT BEEN READ in its entirety by the illiterate “TEA party” folks elected to the House and Senate. Even the BEST, from BOTH PARTIES read only about 10% of what they vote on! These huge bills, have so many riders and “earmarks”(yes they’re still used) that nobody can understand what they all say, especially as much of the language is like: “paragraph 3 of bill”XXX: will be changed to say “NOT” instead of “SHALL”. Meaning that in some cases, members or their staffs may actually have to go over in some cases, 2-30 different pieces of legislation to track down what a simple sentence is actually doing to previous laws!!

The game is no longer just a matter of rhetoric, but outright lies and deception, quite intentionally.

No, if Federal money is not accepted, it goes to another state, like New York or California that are doing a good job.

Remember in the McCann campaign all the elderly who complained about government messing with their Social Security? I have conservative friends who do that. It is like saying I hate government fluoridated water when we know it protects us for many proven reasons. Most first world countries are decades ahead in their healthcare programs and invisible to conservatives. The answer is long and complicated. Short version: Left and Right are two quite different subspecies of humans thanks to Evolution and subatomic zapping of our DNA constantly. http://www.informationisbeautiful.net/visualizations/left-vs-right-world/
