    in my case, it is making sure the family cats are fed and have water.and before any of you say anything. my two boys are indoor only. safer on everyone that way…..

    Absolutely! We love our feathered entertainment. The vultures and crows love it when we throw out a ham bone.

    We put a slinky on the bird feeder pole. No more squirrels in the feeders. Plus, it is entertaining to watch them try.

    From about April until October, I don’t stock the feeder. I’ll start again in the fall so the migratory birds have something and the residents know where the feeder is.

    Notsoastute: Somewhat useful, but no guarantee. Even our heard but not seen great horned owl or resident raccoons have not damaged the local semi-feral housecat clowder.
