Uh … who’s pushing for us to get involved in Syria again? I hear most of the drumbeating for a Syria war from guys like John McCain and Lindsey Graham.
A true foreign-policy conundrum: we are against a military coup that deposed a democratically-elected leader, but we’re much happier with the replacements that the military installed. Not a single Islamist in the Cabinet so far, according to our local newspaper.
The most compelling evidence is that he declared “mission accomplished” when we got Saddam. The fact that we destroyed a country and left it in shambles wasn’t even on his radar.
It’s the “Free Market” way…the oil Bush/Cheney said would ‘pay for the war’ now goes to the highest bidder – and there’s no return for the Taxpayers who financed it all (money & blood)…only for the petro-chemical corporations. (JMO)

Pretty sure the invasion if Iraq was based on “Daddy didn’t get Saddam so I’m gonna finish the job.”

No, they agreed because the administration argued there were WMDs there. But that was a lie.

So you are for a military coup anytime a freely elected government isn’t to your liking? Here (in the U.S.) we wait for the next election.

Sounds like you’d rather invade Iraq again.
