You saw this happen? If as the defense says there were no witnesses, you only have Zimmerman’s word that that’s how it went down. We know for a fact that he pursued the boy. Why did he do that instead of leave it to the professionals (like they recommended)? We know for a fact that Zimmerman had been arrested before for reckless and violent behavior. Any way you look at it, Zimmerman’s actions are responsible for this. And if I were a 17-year-old kid being stalked by a creepy adult, I’d defend myself, too.

When was the gun pulled?”If Zimmerman had listened to the dispatcher and not followed him, we would not be having this conversation. If Zimmerman listened to his neighbors and not formed his so called neighborhood watch because it wasn’t needed, we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Also people who have been shown to have no sense of right and wrong and who make poor choices should not carry guns. But a man has a right to have his home protected, or likes to hunt, not a problem. As adults they have a right to do so.But to suspend a kid who has bitten a corner off his graham cracker, or draws a picture of a gun should not be suspended, that is just silly. The schools who are that radical have no common sense. That is why teachers should not have guns in their classrooms.
Anyway, it should be illegal for Zimmerman to Ever have a gun. He has killed another human being. And got off with o punishment. He possibly could have got worse penalty for animal abuse. .
The equivalent flip-side to Morin’s view would be to show someone getting beaten up with their hand’s outstretched seeking help, and then another person telling them, “Just keep taking your beating…it’s perfectly legal!”.
Remember the saying from a movie a few years ago. Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight. This case. If you are going to try to beat somebody butt, and maybe kill them, make sure they don’t have a gun.
