My X used to have 2 or 3 pair in each room and a few in the car because he kept misplacing them or sitting on them and breaking them.
Most likely not the surgery that’s the most painful but the knuckles dragging on the ground. :-)
My mom used that line for years: There’s nothing wrong with my eyes, my arms are getting shorter.
My husband and I are going through that same scenario right now. He finally had to consent to getting bifocals for his safety glasses, but he won’t consent to bifocals for his regular glasses. Me? I’m still in denial….
