    I’d never allow Andy aboard my galleon, The Irish Rover. We’d have to treble lock the spirit stores.

    I really don’t know what Andy’s hangovers…er …hang-ups about boats is all about. He should be used to the pitch and yawl and the queasiness. After all, isn’t that what he experiences every night crawling home from the pub ?

    O.K. how’s that for relevance ?

    Normally, most boat trips have a licensed bar….it depends on how far out they go.

    It’s the Marketers buying Dept. :or, Don’t Buster Bloodvessel over the housing situation. It’s not a crunch !

    Granny’s house is a very very fine house !

    Linda Dean said, 1 giddy house ago

    @Chalkie j

    ((((( to you ))))), Linda !Does the inside of that house look as good as the outside ?

    Its Gorgeous Gordy, Its old fashioned and has a double fireplace going between the kitchen and living room. …etc…

    Your spirit is just fine, Lin. And given that you are already talking about the place here, I am sure others, SAVE ONE, are interested in the details too !   Ruth and friends would sure have a long “over the river and through the woods to Granny’s house” for those get togethers. I hate when I have to choose between two goodchoices !  If your health requires proximity to family…… that could be important. What part of town, or outside of town, is that placein ?   Don’t worry, I wont race to beat you to it.

    I wont copy you since this catch-all basin is already biggish. Your Mum prob’ly makes a good deal more “home built” stuff than I do, and I appreciate that ethos. Aunt E. will be pleased at the birds. Jack is very supportive, which helps her enormously. -Due to the nature of B.& B., I think you can only get it on Adult Swim here. I think they used to be inserts at MTV, which by the way, sucks anymore. They used to be song videos and now they’re anything but…-I could say something other than “sensible” (with humor) but then I would be re-banned. -Sorry about your cold. (In THIS heat ?!?)Get well soon !_________________________________________________

    I agree with you. I watched Beavis and Butthead last night and the show would be a lot better on it’s own without any music videos and clips of MTV shows.-I still have my cold I’m afraid. It is strange getting a ‘cold’ when it’s hot weather. The throat irritation is the most annoying symptom.-Thank you for the ‘Get Well Soon’ wishes though and that goes to everybody else too.-I hope your day is wonderful.

    My bad… and apology! This was the eruption of Mt. Tambora, like Krakatoa, in what were then the Dutch East Indies. The Tambora eruption resulted in very similar effects, on a slightly smaller scale. [I was sure I’d seen a reference to the better known Krakatoa in one of the earlier strips, but I must have been wrong.] Sorry.

    @afficionado

    The first time I went to France (in the 1960’s) a guy offered me a too good to be true exchange rate for my $. He was trying to sell me old Francs. He was trying to take advantage of a stupid American. I may have been stupid but not that stupid.

    If those coins were in good condition I would have bought them cheap for their eventual numismatic value; now that they have the Euro, even less than stellar condition would be acceptable..Andy Goes to the pee-er every time he drinks !Thanks for the long shot, Six and the map, White Chawks of Dover..I caught the “yaw” goof too. Mick. Read about that years ago in a book on aircraft..Is Quartermain authorized to prescribe medicine ?

    I started to go with classic Kilroy, but like this one better.Tried to shrink…. to no avail..By: Great Gweedo’s Ghost

There were no coins involved. The old Franc was worth only 1/100 of the new one.

    You’re welcome !  Do you eat a goodly amount of wheat and dairy ?  I ask because those are some serious mucous forming foods which would aggravate an allergy. Even though this is a “cold”, extra junk you have to expel helps keep a condition around longer.(Not a qualified purveyor of diagnosees)-A best day to you, as can be had !.Chalkie

    You’re certainly welcome to the earworm. I am getting new ones from Pandora. It’s amazing how you can get so much GOOD music from the internet these days. I’m listening to some “Chamber Music” now. I have many stations I listen to.
