Well Sandy, profundity is hard to come by these days.

@BILAN: My thoughts exactly. Denis looks profound, therefore, he IS profound.

However, if bubbles emerge from his pipe, he is just plain silly.

I can’t think of anything else to say. How a out the rest of you?

..but if he tried to smoke that pipe in my house I’d show him what profound felt like….oops…..I’ll be at the Hut if you need me, I need an attitude adjustment.

I just read them – very good! I’ve added to mine also (and it launched on my lover’s birthday, so that makes it special to me).

If he is waiting for me while I putter around the kitchen, he may just sit at the piano and play something lovely.

He no longer smokes his pipes (got rid of them all – including the carved ivory one I bought him – years ago) but I can still smell that sweet tobacco mix that he used ;-DHe still had them in 1977.

It’s OK! I have a great imagination and good memories now that are fresh from last year. That’s a whole lot better than putting up with some loser like my X.

Thanks again for all the commiseration. If and when I hear from him you will know. For the meantime I will continue to consider him my man (in my imagination) and enjoy . . . my imagination.Last time we got together after over 20 years of . . (celibacy on my part) he objected to my status in Skype that I was happy to be “back” with him – as he insisted I had left (I left Illinois but would not have if I had any encouragement from him). I think he doubts some things because with him I am very . . . but I am currently not drinking anything alcoholic in spite of the fact that I enjoy many such. My mind always controls my actions in the big picture. Drinking is ceased temporarily to try to control my BP. Having any other lover not only is more risk but for me promises no benefits.

DAZZ, you are worth too much to pine over this man. Enjoy your memories of the good times, and move on. Enjoy life just as you do here.

One last thought before I sign off, perhaps Denis is “profoundly” deaf. Is that a hearing aid or ear plug in his ear?On that obscure note, I’ll say, “Good Night BSers” and sweet dreams after the turnover nightcaps….

@Shika, thanks! I won’t pine, but not planning to date anyone else either. I know it would just be disappointing. 30 years or so passed between the last time we were together and this time and I was celibate, but when we got back together it was worth the wait (no one else ever touched every one of my spots to give me multiples every night) and he and I enjoy the same foods, activities and political opinions so it’s fun to go places with him. It was (after all) my choice to move to a different climate but his livelihood depends on the horrid Chicago weather and he’s still working hard (not ready to retire). I’d like him to communicate, but he has siblings who he also does not speak to for years (and I understand that). I just think he misunderstood something that I sent him and . . . I’ll just keep the lines open to him because I do love him.
