To bawana: any one who gets their history from anywhere but vapid Fox News talking points knows at least that….Napoleon’s Old Guard fought to the death at Waterloo, French troops fought well against Bismarck’s army despite being led into a war that they probably had little chance of winning by a corrupt and incompetent Luis Bonaparte, millions of French fought in the trenches of World War one, again, despite often bumbling leadership, hundreds of thousands of French risked their lives in the resistance under Nazi occupation, including sheltering downed US pilots. Hardly the stuff of “white flags” you boorish fool.
