A friend went to Hawaii and I asked her to bring me back a rock. Didn’t happern. She told me that tourists weren’t allowed to do that, as the goddess Pele would get angry, and the volcanoes would erupt.

If the gnome is an inanimate object, why are the irises in its eyes bigger in panel 2 than in panels 1 & 3? Is that intentional?
