One of the nice things about living in Oregon is that the beaches are all public property, so we don’t have a lot of rich idiots building houses right out on the beach and then demanding compensation from the Government when they are washed away by storms.

I lived in an apartment complex in Huntington Beach CA that was built on stilts. The difference is they had parking under the apartments.
