A report out of Europe criticizes US legislators for slowing the world economy with “self inflicted” wounds.^http://www.presstv.com/usdetail/307250.html^We do need to reduce the deficit, and there is a great deal of waste, fraud, and abuse in gov’t spending. This needs to be done with intelligence, compromise, and a civil exchange of ideas between the parties. However, we only have the Republicans and Democrats to depend on and they are no longer members of the United States. They only care to advance their own parties, and only to the degree that those parties can assist politicians get reelected.The only thing they on which they will cooperate is keeping Americans divided and afraid that the “other guys” are going to do irreparable harm to our nation and its people. Every day they can go to a forum like this and see neighbors insulting and accusing neighbor is a day they know their tactics are working. This does the most harm of all.Respectfully,C.
