I guess my night owls gave up and turned in.

Yay! The site is back!It’s been down for hours.

but … I’ve been trying to get the yurt ready for Bev and Stel…..

I tidied it up and took out some stuff they don’t need to take….it looks pretty good…..

I love my yurt.It came all the way from Turdmunkestan.

I had to fold it up for the trip, and put on its traveling wheels…. they make it easy to handle…..

I’m going to miss my yurt…..

I live with my aunt. She has a Toy Poodle. He is a happy bundle of joy. Especially in the mornings. I want to duct tape him to the ceiling fan.

(please disregard the errant sparkling gem up above on the left…it must have fallen out of the tiara somehow! You never know how things will come out when the little monkeys are around…)

Tina our 11 pound Doxie thought we said" Doberman" and so she tried to live up to her name. The Meter reader informed me that he couldn’t read the meter due to the vicious dog in the backyard, I reminded him that he was wearing steel toed boots! We had to put a basket on the front door for the mail so she wouldn’t eat it when it came thru the slot. What a dog!

Happy’s latest dogs (like Scooter) seem to just want to be left alone. The ones further up (earlier) just look a little puzzled.

@Happy, LOL! That’s one Angry Bird! I looked for some angry ones in my hawks at Cornell, but don’t see any. Daddy Ezra is very determined and this youngster is about to fledge.

The red-tail hawks are marvelous birds and the cameras at Cornell are stellar! I’ve watched 2 seasons of nest activities there now. They have other bird cams but I have to draw the line (fun to have the live chat on there and the moderators for chat are mostly distant volunteers in other cities who are also allowed to operate the web cams at request of chatters).

I’m in late, went to the opera up in Logan. They have an opera fest there every summer. I saw “Otello”. I’ll go back in a couple of weeks to see “Flying Dutchman”.

I’m up and ready for breakfast now. A little early for a drink though.

Every Saturday night, I somehow find myself surprised to rediscover that we’re running in place here on Ballard Street…

I know it’s coming…. or rather that nothing is coming… but I always forget before it happens.

Er…. I think I mean doesn’t happen.

I’ll be making breakfast pasta in a bit (with my sausage flavor TVP, some steamed spinach and sliced apple). A slice of WW toast and my V8 rounds it off. I just finished my lime juice and watching the news. Rinsing off the juicer in the sink, I see out my window that neighbor left one of his Tiki lights ablaze (don’t like to see unattended flames).

As there’s nobody around the Tiki here, I hope that there are no candles (citronella or otherwise) burning – I’ll just double-check before I leave.

Yes, by all means celebrate National Ice Cream Day.

And have one for me, I’m off to have my herbal tea.

I’ve hardly bought any ice cream since Cuddles passed in 2008. She always had her portions too (neither of us ever had more than 1 scoop at a time).

She even ate ice cream at a wedding party we attended (everyone liked watching her eat it) ;-D I always liked coffee crystals on mine (and Kahlua). She ate plain vanilla (or double or French vanilla).
