Those defective toasters have been popping up everywhere, lately! It is much too early to think of breakfast, for me at least, but I’m going to dream of apple jelly tonight, I just know it!Hi, and good-night Beviek, and all the other good people of Ballard Street! I
Poor Sonya, she was skating through life with not a care in the world, until this happened. Thin hair, thin ice and thin skin…what can you do ? I think an week at Susan Sunshine’s Beauty Spa Retreat and Recovery Pad would be just ticket for our Sonya !
Funny! I can imagine my hair turning out just like that, and I just put my last slice of frozen bread in the toaster (to go with my WW pasta and spinach). I have no jicama or cucumber and even put the last bit of sweet pepper in my omelet yesterday, so making do w/sliced apple for my side (always keep some apples in the veg drawer)
Definitely need a trip to grocery today but I have a delivery coming and also am out of water. I think water will wait till tomorrow, but 10 gallons goes fast now that I finish one a day.
I stayed at daughter’s on a trip when my (now 11YO) grandson was a toddler. I had taken along some of my bulk cinnamon for the trip and bought some WW bread (they just had soft white). Just butter and a good coat of cinnamon made him say “I like grandma’s Pop Tarts”. Cute! He really did like eating them with me.

Did you?:
A. Run right out to the store this morning to be the first in your neighborhood to have a box setting on the table?B. Figure that this afternoon will be soon enough.C. Ask yourself wtf are they?
You know those days between Christmas and New Years, lots of time on his hands and nothing much to do; George decided to fix the toaster. You know it was just to slow, who wants to wait for toast, and anyway it was cumbersome to start the toast before scrambling the eggs. In retro, George doesn’t think it was really that big of a worry, but at the time it seemed important and Stan and Doug were very encouraging. Stan suggested replacing the capacitor, Doug insisted however, that the toaster didn’t have a capacitor, but George could simply up the amps by rewiring around that thingamajig, just bring the electric directly to the coils. OK, George went for it, since the capacitor store is a long way away and they weren’t answering the phone. It really worked well, in fact it worked better and better as time went by. George could make well done toast in half the time. In fact George could make regular toast in 19 seconds and Soja’s well done toast was down to 26 seconds or less depending on how much toast was being toasted. You know the more toast they made the faster the toaster made toast. Until some time on or around July the 15th at about 9:30 in the morning, when something went terribly wrong. Soja has gone back to bed; George is on the way to Walmart. Life on Ballard Street can be very demanding.
@Munky, the location of that framing looks a little too chilly to be doing any interviews – even tho’ I see plenty of studs, the weather there is not conducive to a good uhh, interview! yeah that’s right, interview.

Goodness!
It not only knocked rollers out of Sonja’s hair… it knocked the N right out of her name! You know, I’d love to fix it… but Sonja insists on doing her own hair except for during her every six weeks appointment for a haircut, wash and set.
Her hair is baby fine….
She won’t let me use anything but rollers to curl it. No perm, no curling iron.
In between, she only puts about 6 rollers in, where I’d used about 27.
Then she calls to complain that her haircut must not be good cos the style didn’t last.Maybe toast will make an improvement… with some apple jelly to help hold the curl.
