Well said. I would add that the procedure to enact a filibuster is now much easier — and it should not be — which means you don’t actually HAVE to filibuster, as Wendy did. Read the rules: she was not allowed to leave her place even for a bathroom break, or to eat a bite; she was not allowed to go off topic at all (and was accused falsely of doing so twice) — in the US Congress it amounts to saying “oh, I’m filibustering.” “Oh, okay, we now need 60 votes to stop you.”It is a genuine tyranny of the minority going on here.
