The sign language you know would only encourage him Lola..It comes in very handy in the car, when the boy is with me. I got my AAS degree in Sign Language Interpreting. I can get it all off my chest without issue. I also don’t have to worry about the other person being deaf because they are observant enough to not cut you off in the first place.

Both of my grandchildren were taught sign language when they were babies. Instead of crying or acting out they knew how to ask for what they wanted, such as milk, juice, etc. It was really amazing to see.
