No. Non-Americans may be disappointed but nah, nothing approaching hate. Now Bush 43, there was disdain and hatred, sure.

“He requested to speak at the Brandenburg Gate, and the Germans said no.”

Ahem, his speech was held at Brandenburg Gate. The Germans apparently said ja.

"Then his speech fizzled because he couldn’t see the teleprompter. “

His teleprompter indeed wasn’t working so he read his speech from a paper copy. Fizzled? More like sizzled, Berlin was in the middle of a heatwave.(86ºF)

”About 4,500 showed up this time. "

It was an invitation-only crowd. His previous appearance was a km away, in front of Victory Column which accommodated the 200 000 that showed up, but open invite. Certainly he wasn’t going to attract a number anywhere that this time since the Germans aren’t as enchanted with him as they were then but you’ve spun those details so much.

Spout bull and hope no-one checks?

Poor Ansonia, truth eludes and partisanship deludes .

    re: B)

Cool; then comparisons between the two dates’ numbers are even more ridiculous.

    C) Partisanship. My accusation against Ansonia,of partisanship & spinning truth clouding the initial post, still stands.

“I’ve always thought, as a European, your skew of what’s going on here is, well, skewed.”Oh dear, zing?

" I owned a teleprompter service and worked with countless politicians"Yes, you’ve said so on this forum, countless times.

I understood your reply; that this Chris Matthews is an Obama flag-waving fan and even he thought his speech was lack-lustre.[I have never watched MSNBC and only know of this Matthews fella by reputation, but I understand it is quite a partisan station, veering left]I have no opinion on his speech as I haven’t heard it or seen it.Ansonia used the word “fizzled”. Ansonia is well known here to be quite partisan and thus the opinion that Obama’s speech “fizzled” is going to be safely ignored. I used Ansonia’s word “fizzled” to show how hot it was that day: I instead used the word “sizzled”. Did you see what I did there? fizzled…sizzled..No? *sigh I guess that fizzled. Anyway, I digress, too.

I slammed Ansonia for an out-right lie and for spinning. And note, it was Ansonia who brought up the numbers for both dates, not me. Your comment that the number 200 000 in itself had another explanation helps my comment and not Ansonia’s derision.Remember, I’m not partisan. I don’t care about Obama all that much, I’ve been harping about his drone programme on this forum for nigh on a year, not like these partisan fools who only latched onto the idea as it could and would damage his reputation. Until then, they were as happy as Larry with it, along with the democrat party. I digress again

My accusation against Ansonia,of partisanship & spinning truth clouding the initial post, still stands.

“Whatever…”Haven’t heard that comeback in a while. Ah, those were the carefree days of my youth, only homework & grades to be concerned about.Since my comment was aimed at Ansonia and not you, meh to you, too. So, there.
