Gallup had this one result that all the corporate press of is braying about. The next day Pew had poll results showing no difference from prior polls. Not much press about the second poll. Goes to show that the press is only covering the stories they want to cover and they are so desperate for an Obama scandal that they are making stuff up out of whole cloth.

If this were Bush, he’d already have been impeached for the same offenses. They’re still treating him with kid gloves.

Benghazi is the same as the Contra scandle in the 80’s.The Iran Contra scandal? The scandal where some of Reagan’s staff members sold weapons to our enemies to earn under-the-table money to secretly and illegally fund Nicaraguan rebels?

I see you still haven’t looked up the definition of socialism. Good for you. You’ve made up your mind, and you’re sticking to it.

Never liked the program. Don’t expect I ever will. I recognize this is one more reason for Obama-haters to point to as the object of their wrath, but do they really think that a President Romney wouldn’t be doing the exact same thing?

No, the “Patriot Act” is not cool, and shouldn’t be used, but it’s there, and “intelligence” folks insist it has been useful to a degree. But, absolute power DOES corrupt absolutely, as Cheney proved to a lessor extent, but remains willing to go “all the way”, by proxy.

The fun of democracy is not winning, it is trying to win people over. As fun as it is to yell party slogans and plug ears, it is absolutely non-conductive to thought.

If you can’t win support for your cause it is either

    A) because it is not good for the larger portion of the population

    B) you argued it poorly (far more common)

If you don’t want LIV you should focus on informing them, if they disagree with what you say in spite of information, refer to previous.

And keep in mind that some things are absolute interpretation, for example which is better

    2% wage growth / 0% inflation/ 4% GDP growth.

You can view inflation as a drag on either, Wage growth being a catalyst for GDP and that GDP does not influence it, or that GDP when it grows at a large rate can significantly increase earnings.

All have had legitimate histories in various countries at various times. all views can be correct.

Mother Teresa’s ratings would be declining too if you had a media network blanketing the nation with non-stop criticisms on anything and everything, true or not.

Greatest sin of Nancy Pelosi as Speaker: “Impeachment is off the table.” Even if not taken to the Senate for trial, “W” and Cheney should both have had articles of impeachment filed on them in the House for the blatant lies, and threats against their opponents who knew the actual truth being labeled “traitor”. They committed criminal acts, repeatedly, and Pelosi wouldn’t take proper action. THAT was shameful.

As I recall, there were four positions to take back then:1. Iraq had WMDs and therefore it was good (or necessary) to invade.2. Iraq had WMDs but it would be a bad idea to invade.3. Iraq didn’t have WMDs and therefore there was no reason to invade.4. Iraq didn’t have WMDs but the US should invade anyway.+I was in group 2, and the US government was in group 4. I was wrong. But not as wrong as the US government was.

Paranoid schizophrenia? A poor basis for national policy. Ordinarily I figure that those in power are just power hungry crooks, immoral but rational. But the Iraq war was something special.

Your link gave me only the table of contents. Do you have a link to the conclusion that “the only reason certain members of the UN voted as they did was because of Saddam’s bribery”? Here’s a summary that I found, which isn’t the conclusion that you mention. +http://www.iic-offp.org/story07Sept05.htm+Perhaps there’s another document? Please give a link.

This is a link to the full report:+http://www.iic-offp.org/documents/IIC%20Final%20Report%2027Oct2005.pdf+But it’s 630 pages, and frankly I don’t feel like reading the whole thing. I did a quick look at the summary and I didn’t find anything like what you say. Could you please give me a page reference?
