ACORN hasn’t existed for 3 years but the House voted to unfund them. That shows how smart our Representatives making $174,000 a year are. And some commenters here.http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/04/defund-acorn_n_3384060.html
David, I hope you are right! because if any more conservatives get in office, of white house or any more seats on the house and senate, we are headed for the dark ages.
David; They exist, only now they are called Democrats. A handful that FDR and Rayburn would recognize are the only New Deal Democrats left. One Socialist in the Senate, and he isn’t even permitted to state his party. Greens may not be mentioned in any of the corporate media. And we go goose-stepping back to the 19th century where only rich white males had any rights.
Actually, we’re worse off now than we’ve ever been in this country, in terms of equality under the law.
In the nineteenth century, before women were ‘liberated’ and children were ‘socialized’, we were pretty much ignored, and left to our own devices. Now we can’t hiccup without running afoul of some regulation or zoning or permit requirement, not to mention far too many insane laws, which do nothing but fill up the privatized prisons.
We’ve got to to a long way forward just to get back to where we were.

It is all ACORN’s fault.

ACORN did a great job considering how little funding they received. They could teach congress a thing or two.
