Allgood, must have realised that he cannot incriminate Linda without incriminating himself as well.

Either Allgood didn’t read his notes all that completely before starting his questioning, or something standing next to the door motioned for him to keep it moving.

Either Holly has grown a lot, or Wally has shrunk. They sure didn’t start out looking eye to eye like that…

It does look like Allgood is having a change of heart. A bit late, but proverbially better late than never.

Wish I could bid on the pics, especially “Holding On”, but I can’t afford what it’s worth or the prices others are bidding on it. I might have been able to afford $100 but much over that and it’s out of my price range.

At least Aaron will get money he needs.

I somehow don’t think that he’s planning to set Linda up later, because he already could have had the maximum impact at this point. Retracting his question now means to me that he couldn’t pull through an unfair blow to someone he wanted to be his enemy. So maybe if Velda caught him by this streak of humanity before and made him believe that it’s all about the “human” in humanity, that could be a reason why he tagged along all the time. I hope this is going to make him remember his actual beliefs.

I can’t pick which way this is going to go. It’s impossible to second-guess Mr Neathery, and yet once the story has played out, it always seems there could not have been a better way for it to have happened. That’s why I admire his skill.

Uuuuh. Does that mean we get the defense’s cross-examination now, or are we straight to having the Council kangaroo-court them to a firing squad?

You do remember what the group Allgood represents stands for, right?Preservation of Human Values. What are some human values?Mercy, Compassion, and others. If Allgood went after Linda in the way he was going he would violate his own society’s values. Going after her would be more “animal” like and he knows that. His idea of the trial was to insure mutants are treated like humans and not treated like farm animals to be harvested. The whole thing was suppose to be about respect for each other. We know somehow this has all got twisted up into a big mess. The question now is how is all this going to turn out with those wanting death and destruction. Does Allgood refuse to go on? Does Jacob ask her to answer the question?Did you remember to put on clean underwear today?More burning questions for a town sitting in a frying pan.

Jayce_CAs unsuccessful as I am at predicting the twists and turns of the plot, I doubt that Aaron would end the strip by destroying the cast. This is Endtown, not Blake’s 7.

I’d like to think that Allgood has reconsidered his line of questioning for the right reasons. He has said before that he intended this to be a case of catch and release — he would use the women to make his case to have mutant products banned and then release them as pardoned sinners. When he became concerned by the reports in the Endtown Examiner he actually called the High Council to confirm that the prisoners wouldn’t be executed. I suspect it suddenly occurred to Octavius what would happen if he said, on public television, that Linda was a Topsider. He’s not ready to sentence someone to a grisly death.

I just went through hospitalisation and minor surgery, but (so far) haven’t had to pay out of pocket. I’m lucky that way – but Aaron is not, and his condition is far worse than mine. As I am spending a lot less this month, I made a sizeable donation for his hospital fund directly.

Also, Allgood may be a reformed Topsider himself, hence why he’s all for human values – but not the topsiders’ distorted view of them.

Like I said. The Society he is head of is called The Society for the Preservation of Human Values. What is more of a human value than “compassion”.

In case some may not have noticed it when Allgood “dismissed” Linda in court this mean the witness/accused is FREE to GO. That means released from all confines.I wonder what the High Council is going to do about this? The look on Jacob’s face is priceless. Since she is dismissed he can’t even ask her any questions.I only had this happen a few times I have been to court. It was usually because they (defense lawyers) did not want my testimony on record. It was too damning. But this is Endtown and this is no legal court like our universe so it is interesting to see where this is going to go.

Allgood has no ulterior motives for dismissing Linda. His eyes are closed, and he’s obviously deeply emotional about what he’s read. Whatever he read, it’s reversed his feelings and motives toward Linda and shaken him.

I’m always amazed at how hard Aaron works to keep Endtown going. A few weeks ago, he was all drugged up with meds to keep his allergic reaction to antibiotics at bay and he was still working on the strip muttering, “for the greater good”. Its amazing to read about someone working that hard. I’d probably be sleeping 24/7 if I was in that situation.

I currently have the bidding on “Holding On” at $135. My English Setter (Tess) has been joined by my neighbor’s two White Schnauzers to triple dog dare anyone to take this from me. This may well be one of the best drawings Aaron has made of Holly and Wally. If you find the bidding beyond your purse, you might want to consider a print. Back when Aaron was using pencils, the prints were of inferior quality but that is NOT the case with ink washes or watercolors. I have had the opportunity to compare prints to the originals and the duplicates are every bit as good.

Selina, what is causing his leg to get bad? Sorry, I just would like to tell people “my favorite artists has__” is it embolisms? Is this something that can be cured or is it something he will forever be bothered with?I have boughten 2 shirts, and want to buy several prints, but it is hard on a small fixed income, even more if the congress has it’s way and continues cutting help and needed services. Hopefully he will be covered by 2014. My state governor is planning to not except aide, I hope yours is more compassionate.

I think Allgood and Linda had a meeting on the deeper level, either he recognized her or he saw that she is not just another cog in the machine! When people acknowledge people as being just as alive as you, and that it’s like the poem “for whom the bell tolls” Also in my previous post I was not meaning to talk politics or favor one side over the other, I was just stating how my governor feels. If I offended anyone, that was not my intention. Life just gets kind of scary. We are all piglets and we all need a Winnie the pooh to re-assure us.
