From the US Patent Office website: “The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the agency that issues patents in the United States, has developed guidelines on the patenting of genetic discoveries. The current guidelines state that identification of a gene’s sequence alone is not patentable, but that a gene isolated from its natural state may be patentable if the applicants can demonstrate ‘specific, substantial and credible utility’ for the discovery.”

assenine said, “Why do you care who writes what and who replies to whom? Why is it so important to call someone a name, attack and demonize those that disagree with you?”

This from someone who said, “lol, you fed the leftist trolls fersure. Sweet irony.” just 1 minute ago in Chip Bok’s cartoon.

at least attribute the comment to a justice that actually speaks during session. Thomas just sits mute – a testimony to the adage that it is better to be thought a fool than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt.
