All of these ‘Muslims" at war with each other because of nuanced disagreements in what ’the Prophet’ meant when he wrote the Qu’oran. And in the USA, the mother of a friend of mine says it saddens her that a nice person like me is going to go to hell because I refuse to recognize that only those who worship at Southern Baptist Churches are going to go to heaven. Just like the Catholics, Jews, and Muslims.All these reilgions based on the words of people who told us “God is Love”. So, why is there so much hate and intolerance in religious people. The most obvious reason is that it’s not really about religion or God, its about control of water, land, oil, and other resources. Its not about salvation, but wealth and power.One day, I expect I will either find out the truth or, not care. But as I do expect to find out the truth, I look forward to the reaction of those who do evil in the name of God. I just hope the Southern Baptist lady is wrong. I’m reminded of a comment made by an Israeli official at the start of the Iran/Iraq war when he was asked which side Israel favored. His reply was something along the lines of “We’re only hoping for casualties”. Syria has become, unfortunately, a fight between different terrorist groups. I see no reason for the US to get near this unless it’s to make sure one side doesn’t get eliminated too quickly.
Anyone who pays attention knows that Syria is turning into another Shia/Sunni war by proxy. Al Qaeda has been flocking to the rebel side.France also allied with the Islamic Ottoman Empire against the Holy Roamin’ Habsburgs. The French even stooped so low as to try to ally themselves with Henry VIII.
