Hate to say it, but that’s what MOST people consider news. Vast swaths of the American Public has the attention span of a sparrow, and is just as easily distracted.

Are you forgetting about Larry “Wide Stance” Craig? Sen. John Ensign, who paid off his mistress and gave her husband a job in his campaign? Now-Senator Sanford, who went “for a walk on the Appalachian Trail”? Senator David Vitter, who was on the Washington Madam’s client list? The guy who was a Florida Representative who cozied up to male pages? The current governor of Florida, whose company was convicted and fined millions because of Medicare Fraud?
All Republicans. The Democrats may act badly, but the Republicans do the same. The difference I see is that Republicans present themselves to be more moral than others, and certainly more patriotic and religious. I am reminded of the phrase, "Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.
