Those who text and walk without paying attention will thin themselves from the herd. Those who text and drive endanger others and need a tougher response. By the way, I’m one who thinks texting does have a useful, if limited, function.
we send texts to our kids when we need to know where they are. My Beloved sends me shopping lists as texts. She once texted that I should buy tuna becuse it was $329 for 6 cans. I txted back that I thought that rather expensive; she replied that it was on sale. I texted “Check spelling in yourfirst text.” She sent back, “Oh noes, I’m pregnant. Missed period.” Two of our sons were with me when I read that, and they wondered if Dad was losing it, ’cause I started laughing so hard in a Staples parking lot.
Don’t know whether to UGH Melody or not. Distaste for virtua addiction commendable..No sympathy for injured horse – bad!.Best pix I ever saw come over the AP wire was a police horse, Fritz, that had accidently backed up onto one of those old Boston grates. He broke thru up to his front end. His human partner, Sgt. Pomodoro was kneeling down , holding his head, comforting and assuring till they could get a crane to rescue him. AP didn’t have the rights so I never was able to buy an 8 X 10.
