But Richard, I’m such a troll feeding junkie.I read their silly, arrogant, ignorant comments and I can’t help myself.It’s like you see someone drowning, you can’t just walk away. The main difference is that these people really can’t be saved. If we do not feed the trolls, it IS possible they will go away. If that happens, then how will we know if we become trolls since we won’t have anyone to judge ourselves against? How many times do we have to say that GBT isn’t on “vacation”? He’s working on an on-line comedy show & probably works a lot harder than those of us that have time to haunt these comments.

Incidentally, for those of you that say that the President’s parents weren’t married when he was born (you know who you are and it probably more realistically applies to you):. “Dunham and Obama Sr. were married on the Hawaiian island of Maui on February 2, 1961, despite parental opposition from both families.620 Dunham was three months pregnant.”

Please note, and hopefully appreciate, that I am ignoring GuarfSGT, even after is inane post to me.It’s like ignoring a pesky bug that keeps buzzing you while you’re trying to rest, or a foul odor that you can’t find the source of, but I’m doing it.If I manage to do so all week, I hope I’ll get a “7 Day Ignoring the Trolls” award like AA would give (not a member, but a week of having to ignore trolls may drive me to drink).

One reason the Republicans are shouted down as trolls is because they generally have a get in your face attitude. Now, having said that, not all of the right are unreasonable. I have had some decent debates on here and Facebook. I did have an incident recently with an old high school friend on Facebook. He jumped all over a post of mine and me. He started his rant with “Where do you get off………?” Then he went on and on “quoting facts”. Fully ninety percent were grossly distorted. I simply told him that six of his points were completely wrong. Then told him he didn’t have to read my posts if he disagreed so vehemently. He hasn’t unfriended me yet. Some people believe a difference of opinion is a personalaffront.

It won’t be easy for me, I want to save the world one closed- minded moron at a time, but I’ll try.

Actually we’ve had reruns since Labor Day.

The difference is that “conservatives” are not necessarily “trolls” or “extremists.” You can have a reasonable discussion with a conservative who is not calling you “stupid,” “ignorant,” “uninformed,” “liar,” “KoolAid drinker” and a whole host of other names I’ve seen in the comments on this site. Political differences used to be fun, before the bullies decided that EVERYONE has to agree with them.

Actually, the progressives here are quite civil, until they’re called names and repeatedly lied to. Now, if some feel this applies to them, perhaps they should reread their own posts…

I don’t think “trolling” has anything to do with agreeing or disagreeing with someone else. It’s way beyond that. It has everything to do with frequenting a site that you know you disagree with, speaking disparagingly about the artist, and calling folks names for what they posted on the site — simply because you don’t agree with them. If I frequented a conservative cartoon site, said the artist was an “ignorant liar,” and accused everyone who agreed with the artist of "drinking the KoolAid, I would be “trolling.”

Did i miss the memo? Why are we getting re-runs?

I don’t know you or what your issues may be but you have the profile of a closet homosexual that beats up gay people. So could it be you are a closet wanna be repressed troll ?
