The Shrubster did the same with another woman named Rice. Where was the outrage then? Not that I favored either one of those promotions, but it is humorous to see how blinkered we can be by only being willing to look from one angle.
I just find it interesting that a Rice who got thousands of our troops killed with HER lies to support the administration gets praise from the right, but the Rice who gave statements to NOT give away to the real bad guys what we were up to , AFTER four, only four died, in an incident they got themselves into, is condemned.
BTW, shortly after the attack, yes, Libyans, who liked Stevens and who he liked DID remove him from the compound, apparently alive, and transported him to the hospital, where COD (cause of death) was found to be smoke inhalation (typical COD in fires), and NOT the “brutality” the right wingnuts were immediately fabricating to sell their mythology.
For stupidity, brutality, lies, and treason, that “mushroom cloud” was FAR more egregious a lie!
She repeated talking points generated by the CIA. So, I guess that disqualifies her from any office…The cons are just mad that they won’t get a say in this appointment. Sorry cons, it’s POTUS prerogative.

I have a surprise for you, then. I think it was a very poor policy decision. When you are calling out others for acting in bad faith, it’s foolish to do the same thing. I don’t pretend to know her qualifications for the job, and I doubt that she will be as splendidly horrid as some other occupants of that position, but my feeling is that, if I was in Mr. Obama’s position and I thought I wanted her in my inner circle, I’d find a less conspicuous place for her..
Tell me more, please. My understanding was that Libya was a French undertaking and that we did not send troops, although we did send non-military personnel and supplies. Maybe I’m wrong. Please educate me.
Remember, the French had been part of the “Coalition of the Willing”. I’m sure that didn’t happen out of the kindness of their hearts. When they wanted war on Libya, they called in their bargaining chip. I’m willing to believe they had reason to believe we owed them, and we didn’t have a lot of wiggle room. Just a theory, but very possible.
