You got a better idea, Mr. Boehner? Bring it. Make sure it’s better. Going backwards is not the same as going forwards.

GEORGE WASHINGTON required people to buy guns in around 1790. Get over it.

Nope, wishful thinking on your part. That isn’t the purpose of the Second Amendment, either.

“Obozocare” was originally proposed by the Heritage Foundation, championed by Bob Dole during his presidential campaign, and signed into state law by Mitt Romney. Before Obama submitted it to Congress, it was heartily endorsed by Republicans. Why did conservatives write and endorse the legislation if they now think it’s so horrible and unconstitutional?

“OTaxCare is a joke and even the unions are rejecting it.”So why did the Republicans originally write and propose it? If it’s so bad, why did Bob Dole endorse it during his presidential campaign? Why did Mitt Romney sign it into state law?

“…what could be less just than forcing once-free Americans to buy a product?”

This is the only way Obamacare can work. I’m not saying I like it. But otherwise people can choose not to pay for insurance until they need it, and that means the system could not sustain itself (assuming that’s possible in the first place). This is why the insurance industry added the pre-existing condition exemption that no one likes.

Here’s the concern I would like to have answered: Medicare Part D requires seniors to purchase a drug plan, regardless of whether the patient takes any meds, regardless of whether the meds will be covered by any plans. If you don’t do this, you will be assessed a monetary penalty. Can you say “individual mandate”?

Can anyone tell me why there was no heartburn at all when this travesty of corporate welfare was passed, yet the exact same principle was declared unconstitutional by the same party that championed Medicare Part D? Now, the general public may not have seen a similarity, but you can bet your legislators know.

Again, party before country. So infuriating.

Obamacare is a gutted and watered down version of UHC, that said that is about as far as the envelope can push pushed in the USA at the moment.

There are many things that the government requires you to buy. Unless that is you don’t intend to drive, go outside of the country, never need a birth certificate.

Harley says, “Do you even know all the factors the started the war of the states? I will give you a hint, it was economical as much as it was free the slaves.” You may not be aware, but this is the standard Marxist explanation of the cause of the war. Did you know that you’re a Marxist?

"Republicans wisely saw how devastating obamacare was going to be on our economy.:As I’ve already stated, it was Republicans who originally came up with “Obamacare.” The Heritage Foundation is by no means a liberal group.
