I see people all the time driving to the local grocery store in their 2012 and 2013 shiny new SUV’s and pulling out their EBT card(food stamps) to fill up on Coco Puffs, Doritos and whatever else they feel like, all on our dime.

I have no problem helping children and the truly disabled, but these people are far from “going hungry”. Maybe they should be driving a 10 year old economy car or taking the bus so they can at least have the self-respect to feed their own children.

Here is a great idea. I looked at a picture of detroit and the streets were full of trash how about anyone collecting welfare go out and clean the streets that way the goverment can save money on street cleaning crews and would have money to help the people that need it . I am sorry I do not mind teaching a person to fish but tired of just giving fish out when I have to eat hamburger helper without the hamburger

I didn’t have to look hard. Here’s a major bust for fraud just 3 days ago.

the problem is not those who deserve, it those who abuse it. I have witnessed many seemingly able bodied men buying junk food with food stamps.
