Red is saying that no, he wasn’t asking if it was Martin’s turn to set the table, he was asking if he has to set a place for Martin. Hope that helps a bit.

Don’t worry about setting the table Red, that only takes a few minutes. It’s when they make you wash the dishes that it takes forever, or seems to.

As Martin’s a teenager, he can just stand in fron of the open Fridge and Hoover-up the leftovers in a couple minutes.
This will be folled by the plaintive cry “Mooom, there’s NOTHING to EAT in this House!”
