GRITStime at the BBQ today! I took hamburgers, chips, buns and Coors Light and he supplied hot dogs, condiments and plates. And I scored his drill press so I will always have a part of his shop in my workspace in the garage! Sigh. Akenta, have a good day off!
I was in element today! Went to the Farmer’s Market, Lowes for top soil, garden soil and Moisture Control potting soill Got my tomatoes and peppers, and some more flowers planted. I am tired, and will probably be sore tmr., but I loved every minute of it!
OH I HAVE TO TELL YOU GUYS THIS STORY! I went to Lowe’s today to buy garden, potting, and top soil. As I was going through the isles, there was this girl watering the plants, and a bird flying close by overhead. She said to me, “Look at this! I just hosed down a nest of birds. They are in there. Lift that branch and see.” They were in a small pot containing a Yew shrub. Three little baby birds, chirping away. I told her she should move them to somewhere safe until they could leave the nest. I hope she did. But she didn’t seem too bright, so I don’t know if she did or not.. And now that I think about it, I wish I had called the manager’s attention to it. I hope they are okay! It was SO cute. And if they weren’t moved, can you imagine the SHOCK and AWE of someone who bought that plant and got it home? LOL!
