Russia is celebrating Russia Day. Nigeria is observing June 12 Commemoration. Philippines is celebrating Independence Day. Paraguay has Día de la Paz del Chaco. Braxil has Dia dos Namorados (aka Dia de São Valentim / Lover’s Day)
Seems like we have a DERECHO headed our way, with an AREAL flood watch, as well. I LOVE HOW METEROLGISTS MAKE UP THESE FAIRLY NEW WORDS! Been a weather watcher since I can’t remember when, later in life, wish I had studied for it, but come on. Quit making up names and just report what the heck it’s going to be. Torrential rain, STRONG gusty winds, large hail, and possible tornados. LOL!
