Omnius, name calling doesn’t strengthen your arguement. So if the drone program was a criminal act, and President Obama continued it, by your logic he is a war criminal. After all the Cheif Executive could have stopped them the moment he took office instead of blaming the previous one. Such a powerless helpless leader.
While I don’t like drones being used without severe “care”, the image that sticks in my mind is an 8 year-old girl in her kitchen in Baghdad, the back of her head blown off by shrapnel from a “smart bomb” during “shock and awe”. She was one of tens of thousands of “bystanders” killed in THAT little episode.
Maybe, someday, the U.S. will just decide to NOT go to wars without “just cause”??? Not likely with the miitary-industrial complex making so much on either bombs, drones, or DU munitions. (New plans for a “not a tank” to replace the Bradley, twice as big, five times as expensive, but it will be a “hybrid” and get slightly better fuel mileage, right.)
