It was GWB’s administration that put a journalist in jail for not revealing sources. Obama’s DOJ’s actions were bad, but not “Republican-level” bad. The reason the GOP filibustered the Shield Law was because in general they love intimidating sources who leak. They’ve changed their tune this week, but only temporarily in insincerely, since it might be spun to make O look bad. Their true colors will show when they filibuster the Shield law again.
If this were the Bush Administration, the kid’s crime would be distributing information critical of the President. As you may recall, voicing critical of the President while our troops are in harms way harms and demoralizes our troops and should be considered treason.
