When I think of the term Frank used, “doting”…. it makes me wonder if all this is just leading up to them asking Lu and Quill to “cool it” for a while, which Lu will not be too happy about, which would lead up to “Camp Drama”, and what awaits there…

Interior doors cannot be securely locked. Push any slim object into the hole in the doorknob and it will open. That is what that hole is for.

It really doesn’t matter what happened behind locked doors. Luann really crossed a line here. She has violated her parents’ trust big time. It’s going to be a long time before they trust her alone with Quill again.

And Quill? He’s violated their trust as well. It will be even longer before they trust him again.

As I said, this is going to be a very cold meal.

Here comes Dad running at top speed and no locked door is going to stop him. Turns out they are at opposite ends of the room talking to each other on Skype.

Locked door ? That’s the last time that will happen. It may also be the last time they trust Luann. That’s too bad. :-(

Remember how close they were to “doing it” when Quill got the call to return to Oz? I believe that once Quill has his way with Luann, he will be on his way. I also believe that Mom knows it.

If you’re in the habit of going for the doorknob rather than knocking, don’t be surprised if your kids start locking thier doors.

One: You do not need to lock your door if you are “just talking”. You can carry on a perfectly good conversation with the door wide open.

Two: If you were “just talking”, it would not take you a minute to emerge from your room.

Luann really, really blew it. And Quill is just as much to blame. It takes two to tango.

They forgot to have the common "The door has to be kept open when you have a boy over " talk. I have never known any bedroom door other than the master to have a lock. My kids always wished they had a lock, but they never got it! Kid’s doors should never have a lock, not for “this reason,” but just for safety.

A 17 year old is almost an adult. If you are treating them like a child at that age they will have problems handling decisions when they go off to college in one year. Many 17 year olds are having sex within a steady relationship. It is not a moral failing, it is simply human nature. We have a sex drive at that age to continue the species.

I am assuming that there is some sort of comedic outcome headed our way…. maybe they will be wearing odd “drama” costumes, or bunny costumes or some such thing. If the real reason the door opening is delayed is because there is some real hanky-panky going on, I will be sadly disappointed at this comic. While that may well be common in real life, I am not particularly inclined to find enjoyable, interesting, or humorous the blatant rudeness and disrespect that Luann would be displaying to her parents if there is hanky-panky occurring in this comic.

Would be a great arc if Luann comes up pregnant-it happens to “good” girls too. A nice lesson to younger readers to be careful! And notwithstanding some of the comments here,it doesn’t make you a “bad” girl to have a sex drive,just normal. Weren’t any of you EVER young?

Not quite sure what you mean Dave. My philosophy is that in a society where freedom of speech is a longstanding tradition, (this is not a 1st amendment issue) You have the right to say what you want, and I have the right to ignore it. I’m aware of gocomics comments board policy, and abide by it, I just don’t agree with it.

Interior doors in modern houses are not substantial. A lock is just a formality and means to verify forced entry. My X broke many parts of the hollow core doors in the house we last shared. I think Greg will have a pleasant surprise for readers tomorrow.
