Looks like “it” happened all over a bunch of folks. If she took it in the liver there’s probably not much Doc can do since there’s not much of it left anyway….

Dang, girl, ya hadda be in the line of fire… sniff

Aaron knows how to yank on our emotions… One of the things that brings me back to this strip week after week. That, and the comment section… This strip draws some pretty sharp (and entertaining) cookies. Wonder what will be posted this week?

When I first encountered Endtown 2 years ago (about when Wally was in the hospital in Doc Chase’s care the first time), I asked Aaron if Allie and Holly would be coming out of the end of the storyline with happy endings. He’d replied back saying that for Holly, “yes”. For Allie, we’d have to wait and see. I’m still waiting.

What Allie said could mean two things:“Don’t worry about trying to stop me from dying – I’m too far gone,”and/or“All past bygones are bygones.”The writing is very subtle, Mr N.

Should be interesting to see who will be the new supporting characters. So long, Allie, may those demons in you be put away and you can rest. See you in the next life

Allie did take a gut shot after all. I guess that means that the scales… sunglasses …weren’t in her favor. CSI: Endtown, coming this fall to an apocalyptic CCTV near you.

I agree with you surfstuff55.And Wally’s pain continues.Another regret. Never having the chance to say “Sorry”.At least she did not go alone laying in the alley way.On a side note.I am a bit tired after this weekend.Spent the last two days watching those folks in that Granbury Tornado Disaster finally get in to see what was left. Security post for entrance to scene. All they had were pieces. Just pieces. Some just looked and said just bulldoze it. I saw a house with the front in pristine shape. The door and windows unbroken. Got to the back and it was if the entire back half had been cut off with a knife and tossed away. We heard glass breaking and yelling so ran over. The owner was breaking the front door and windows. He turned with tears running down his face and said “At least the front looks like the back. Family escorted him away.”This looks like a rough weather week folks. Oklahoma and north got hit really hard yesterday and today all of us Midwesterners from Texas to the Dakotas and east are under the guns. Be safe, Be well, Hug your loved ones everyday. It might be the only chance you get.

Allie no longer has to deal with her demons, at least. Although I always hoped for her rehabilitation, she is now at peace and her death may serve as a motivator for Wally.(Of course I can still hope for an Endtown Miracle.)

In the end, Wally was there. Allie didn’t die alone. Amends were made. The only regret is that it didn’t last longer.

“and her death may serve as a motivator for Wally.”Wally does need to get his head back into the game. He’s an engineer. This entire racket is set up as an engineering problem. Why else would Marx have tried to toughen him up on the airship before bringing him to this particular Endtown at this particular time? And, no, the answer is not “for the greater good” (at least, not completely).

Okay folks, let me get you all straight about what it means “things are going south”It is an old comment about tough lean times are coming. The Summer is ending Autumn coming on. Winter fast behind and its time to MIGRATE south. It marked a change in seasons and the harsh winters approaching. The wild move south to avoid the harshness of the winter coming on. At least those that could. It meant to pack up folks we are moving south to better climate. Moving is always rough on the young and old. Whether it be Animal or Human. It was a hardship that all were fixing to endure. It does not mean bad things are moving south. It just means bad times are coming and if you can move south to better climes. If you cant move then get ready for hard lean times.

Darwinskeeper,Here is a thought about what you said about Wally. Maybe he can find a way to hack into the system. It was said once before he was probably more electrical oriented as they kept having to rebuilt that school in the teacher story. If they up top can send a signal out surely there must be a central receiving to rebroadcast. Since I don’t recall seeing antennas on the roof tops or on the walls of the city. I would assume it’s cable. So there would have to be a central facility. That may at least get access to maybe the Rats who are probably in as much confusion as Endtown. The High Council would have to be out of the loop or they would block it totally. The Council has to keep everyone divided. A divided citizenry is easier to control. Keep them on each other instead of concentrating on you. To defeat the Council, communications between the sides are going to have to be established.

I didn’t seem any of them, but I never saw a dead man thrown through a window in a western. That’s my premise that the one rat may be alive. Wally talking to him and maybe bringing him back could be the start of the communications.

mr_sherman I hope you are right but given his size, the angle of coming through that window, he probably hit the back wall really hard. If he was alive coming through the window that wall would be a sudden hard stop. I too remember the westerns. They never got cut up either but you and I know that ain’t true. And they always kept their hats on. (The fights I have been in hats have took off and boy do those knuckles hurt after hitting someone in the face. Really hurts. I tend to use and open hand for that reason. You would be surprised at how hard a slap to the side of the head can be. Have a GOOD friend hold out his hand and let hand go loose and just slap the crap out of his. Open hand palm to palm. You will be surprised on how hard that hits and how little it hurts. Saw a troop one time break his hand hitting someone. Bones stuck right out the top of his hand. OUCH!.Actually R. Downing Jr. uses that technique as Sherlock. It is a real fighting form. Uses open hands, strike points, and angles.)

Seems to be a lot about going south.Primarily it means things are going to loose value.Based on the compass direction pointing south. Origin seems to date back to the 70’s and became a catch phrase for profits going down instead of up. An economic term so to say.Another google site says this originated back in the War between the States (Civil War to others. I use my saying as I don’t find war CIVIL). In the early stages before actual war broke out some Army West Point officers had to decided if they were going to remain in the Union Army or join the Confederate Army. If they chose to join the Confederate Army they were referred to as “going south”. It was a term of derision from the Federals as it was looked up as those West Point officers were defecting and made a bad choice.

Well she’ll still live on as the auction art of her in a nice dress holding up a glass of martini like she’s The Statue Of Liberty…or whatnot.

Bad week! I found out my grandson’s mom is taking them to another state this week. as in moving away. It’s possible that Sat. may have been my last time seeing them ever. (nasty divorce)A woman I’m close to lost her job, found out today. Not feeling or reading too good, had that eye surgery, Chupacabra in LSOS died, and Allie. Their deaths hurt a lot! but after loss comes better, I know, just don’t feel it now.
