I remember the kid who threw the Lawn Dart (remember those?) and didn’t move out of the way. Ouch!

Give him some goggles so he can’t see too.

… when my cousin slid down a slide barefooted & caught his pinkie toe on the side of broken metal… or when my baby brother clobbered my sister in the forhead with his 9-iron…. or when she fell off the bed/trampoline and broke her collar bone… yeah, we had fun as kids!

Circus performers who use balls don’t wear all that stuff.

My Dad’s sister rode a sled down the barn roof once. The sled didn’t survive, but she’s still going strong 80+ years later!

I rode my bike around the neighborhood without a helmet. BUT, there weren’t nearly as many cars in the 1960s and no one was texting and driving. Now, I wouldn’t dare ride my bike without a helmet. I’ve had people in cars back out of the driveway right in front of me.
