    Many family members served, but I’d like to mention the one who gave all. My uncle Marine Corp David Helm, 11/10/67, Quang Nam, Vietnam. Semper Fi and thank all of you for service and espically those whole paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

    Thank you. There were very, very few memorial days comics today and this was definitely the most thoughtful. I served in peacetime but I have a friend who was brain-damaged by an IED.

    A lot of military personnel did not see combat. For example , the maintenance crews for aircraft, etc. Thank you for your service. BUT an EXTRA thanks for all those who were wounded or did not make it home. “Daddy’s Home” takes on a whole new meaning !!

    My mothers boyfriend Tom Kutrip served in Nam lost to cancer in 2008. My father-in-law worked on airplanes during Nam in Alaska. He was there when they had the devistating earthquake and helped pick up the pieces. Still going strong.
