People who willingly go to LA, SHOULD have their Heads Examined!

I never had to have this particular test, but I have been in his spot after an MRI and I know how this character would feel.

I don’t know what prompted them to go this way but it is holding my attention. I hope it isn’t from personal experience.

I fail to see the humor in this situation. Having been nearly dead at least twice, I find this nothing but grim. Sure, her dad keeps his sense of humor and makes jokes. I did too, because laughing is better than screaming, and it helps the morale of those around you. But staring death, even potential death, in the face is grim unless death is the only possible release from pain.

Like others, I hope this ends well, and doesn’t come from personal experience. But there is nothing to teach or learn here. Until you’ve been through something similar, as patient or someone close to them, you just cannot understand.

On the other hand, I suspect this is from personal experience, and this may be part of the cartoonists’ way of dealing with it. If so, they have my heartfelt sympathy. Claire, her family and friends (human and otherwise) are dear. I never miss a strip: It’s part of my “celebration of another day of livin’.”

A lot of people consider la la land sleeping. And yes, I, too, would like to be knocked out real good if I ever had this procedure done

La la land is sleeping, but from chemically induced causes, less properly traumatic brain injury. In any case, it does not include fatigue or circadian cycles.
