So there is a difference between the Republicans and Democrats
Man: Finally! We're gonna nail him to the wall!
Man 2: Hellooo impeachment!
Woman: You know the prez is lying us into war against Iraq.
Man 3: Cool. Let's vote for that.
C’mon, no sense blaming Bush. There are no lasting consequences for his ‘decisions’. I mean, those 4000+ American soldiers that died in Iraq, it’s not like they’re still dead or anything.
The rightside frame is why Hillary will never get my vote. All the informed readers of democraticunderground.org knew Iraq was being invaded for invalid reasons and with false intelligence.Anyone who voted for the Iraq War Resolution cast their vote from lack of political courage, not from lack of good WMD intel.Like John Kerry, they actually thought the huge mistake would become apparent before the 2004 election.
No reasonable, well-informed person could possibly want to impeach Obama for Benghazi (which isn’t a scandal), or the IRS (which doesn’t involve Obama) or the AP (ditto). The difference here is who is “reasonable.” The GOP would have more of a case if (a) they could present any evidence and (b) if every single president they’ve put up since Ford hadn’t had far, far worse scandals where the president was actually involved in the planning, execution, and cover-up of actual illegal activity.
Ain’t this the truth! Voters: don’t forget the DEMOCRATS who betrayed you and handed off their sacred responsibility to be in charge of declaring war to the Bush Administration.
In the House, 82 Democrats voted for the Resolution authorizing Bush to invade Iraq. 126 voted against. That is a majority! In the Senate, 29 Dems voted for, 21 against. Overall, that’s 131 Democrat’s caving to Bush’s agenda, backed with the support of the “lamestream” media & most Americans, with 147 Democrats having some semblance of sense and courage. Not so good, but a far better showing of a party with some semblance of a conscience than the GOP, which voted a combined 253 for versus 7 against a trumped up Casus Belli.Of course the real problem wasn’t Bush or the Democrat lemmings, it was stupid Americans.
“nd where was Rall’s outrage when Democrat cheerleaders lined up to egg Obama into Libya and Egypt?”Last time I checked, we weren’t occupying Libya or Egypt, not do I recall Democrats urging us to send in troops.
And for those who think the scandals this week were bigger than “Watergate plus Iran Contra, times ten!!!!”When Obama sits down next to a man who has killed 200,000 of his own people, thanks to the arms & training that Obama championed, I’ll call that a scandal.Ronald Reagan with Guatemalan President Rios Montt
People, people, people… we don’t impeach in this country for misfeasance, malfeasance, nonfeasance, or anything of any substance, only minor sexual misconduct-type behavior. Any talk of impeachment by congress is a further waste or your tax dollars

You forgot the most horrible scandal of the lot: the umbrella.

I guess we’ve forgotten who is next in line, if Obama is impeached and convicted.

But yeah, the Democrats failed to make this kind of sensation when Bush was using the IRS to harass anti-war Churches & the NAACP.

It’s all in the archives. That is, if you don’t just fart out comments rather than, say, know what the heck you’re talking about.
